Montgomery County, NY was buzzing with energy on Thursday, June 12, 2025, as job seekers and employers came together for a successful first ever Montgomery County Job Fair at the County Office Building in Fonda! With two well-attended sessions—9:00–11:30 AM and 1:00–3:30 PM—the event showcased the strength of local partnerships and the value of public service careers.
Whether attendees were launching a new career, exploring a different path, or re-entering the workforce, the job fair offered something for everyone. It was a day filled with conversations, applications, and career-building momentum.
✅ Here’s what made the event a success:
Face-to-Face Employer Connections – Attendees had the chance to meet directly with hiring representatives from a variety of sectors, including county government, healthcare, education, transportation, manufacturing, and more.
On-the-Spot Applications & Interviews – Many job seekers came prepared with resumes and left with real opportunities—some even interviewed on-site.
Insight into Public Sector Careers – The Montgomery County Human Resources team was on hand to guide attendees through the civil service process, explain benefit packages, and share what it’s like to work in county government.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Montgomery County Civil Service, Social Services, Public Works, IT & Benefits Visit Montgomery County Liberty, Alpin Haus, Dairy Farmers of America, Brown Coach St. Mary’s Health Care, Palatine Nursing Home, Fort Plain CSD City of Amsterdam, Keymark, Amsterdam Housing Authority, Dollar General Unified Court System, Fulmont Community Action, and FMS Workforce Solutions.
Personnel Officer, Nicole Yaggle, noted, “Montgomery County held its first-ever countywide Job Fair today, and I’m proud to share it was a tremendous success. We saw an outstanding turnout from job seekers and meaningful engagement with local employers, while also strengthening partnerships with area organizations, schools, and workforce agencies. We’re excited about the momentum this event has created and look forward to continuing efforts that build lasting connections between employers and qualified candidates across Montgomery County!”
